ARTISAN COFFEE FROM NEPAL

Coffee that grown above the clouds

The story of Himalaya & Sons began with a personal journey, when I trekked the legendary trail to Mount Everest Base Camp - all the way up to 5,364 metres. I didn’t just discover the mountains, I encountered the soul of the Himalayas: the Sherpa communities who live and work in one of the harshest environments on Earth.

Along the way, I met a local Sherpa family, with whom I’ve maintained a close bond ever since. From them, I first heard about the challenges of high-altitude arabica cultivation, and from them, I learned why Nepali artisan coffee is so extraordinary. They told me how they planted the first 75 arabica seedlings in the Everest region, thousands of metres above sea level - how they mastered every step of cultivation and committed to quality, ensuring that behind every coffee bean lies the purity of the region, the tranquillity of the mountains, and the strength of tradition.

Himalaya & Sons is more than just coffee. It’s a bridge between Nepal and Europe. A brand built on a real story - on personal presence, friendship, and respect. Our coffees grow above the clouds, where the climate is pristine and the soil is rich in minerals. The careful hands of Sherpa families pick, sort, and roast the fresh arabica beans.

Himalaya & Sons coffees are made in small batches and are available exclusively through us in Europe. Every pack carries the magic of Mount Everest: the silence of the mountains, the power of altitude, the diligence of the Sherpa communities, and the journey I myself experienced.

We’re committed to purity, artisan traditions, and mindful experiences. We believe coffee is truly valuable when it brings a real story to life. And our story began where the world’s highest peaks touch the sky.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Grown above the clouds. Crafted by Sherpas.

Himalaya & Sons coffee originates from Nepal’s iconic Solukhumbu region, cultivated on mountain slopes at 1,500–2,200 meters above sea level. Here, the high altitude, cool microclimate, and glacier-fed, mineral-rich soils combine to create the coffee’s natural sweetness and sophisticated aromatic profile. This rare terroir allows for a slow maturation process, producing beans with exceptional density, clarity, and elegantly layered flavors - qualities that elevate high-altitude Arabica into a true premium rarity.

The philosophy of the Sherpa farmers working these mountains is simple and timeless: they do not seek to reshape the Nepali terroir, but to let the true character of the Himalayas shine through in every coffee bean. From hand-selection to slow, mountain drying, each step is guided by a deep respect for preserving the original, natural flavors of the high-altitude environment.

High-Altitude Roasting at 2,700 Meters -
A Coffee in a New Dimension

Another distinctive feature of Himalaya & Sons coffee is that the roasting occurs not at sea level, but at 2,700 meters, right near the farms. This unique location provides unparalleled advantages:

- The thinner air allows the beans to heat more evenly and slowly.
- Natural sugars and acids are preserved in harmonious balance.
- The risk of over-roasting is minimized.
- The original terroir aromas remain almost crystal clear.

The result is a clean, elegant, layered flavor profile, highlighting natural sweetness and a long, delicate finish - a premium quality instantly recognized by experts.

The Essence of the Himalayas in Every Cup

Himalaya & Sons is more than a product - it is a rare, mountain-born taste experience. Every bean carries the purity of Himalayan air, the mineral richness of the slopes, and the natural complexity born from slow maturation. This is what gives the coffee its genuine, unique character - the extraordinary, premium quality that can only be grown above the clouds.
